The Library has a history of continual improvement and is now engaged in reimagining new and better ways of supporting all users across the six campuses, facilitating the University’s strategic objectives and the recently launched NeW Education Framework.
The next University Librarian will bring an understanding of the holistic needs of all users, of the opportunities afforded by evolving technology and of the possibility for integrated delivery. Working closely with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic and other key stakeholders, he or she will articulate a compelling vision for the Library and provide effective leadership through the subsequent implementation, ensuring that the Library provides excellent and contemporary services that also offer value for money.
The successful candidate will have strong skills in building relationships of trust, nurturing collaboration, developing innovative strategies and managing change in a library environment. He or she will be an experienced leader with a record of developing effective teams, managing budgets impeccably and delivering projects to time. Personal qualities will include vision, energy, passion, integrity and resilience.
