The Senior Building and Facilities Manager will lead a team of Building Managers to ensure the effective and seamless delivery of hard and soft facilities within the University buildings. Provide motivation, engagement and support; recognising the contribution that individuals make to the UoS Strategy and encouraging a working culture which promotes a customer focused, healthy, safe, inclusive and sustainable environment, prioritises people's development and supports smarter ways of working. Lead on developing the FM team to manage leased contracts ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice. The role will be based on site, predominantly on our Highfield Campus.
You will bring extensive experience in facilities management within the built environment, including soft and hard facilities. You will be a hold a Membership of relevant professional body for example IWFM (Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management). You will be able to plan and manage major projects applying originality in modifying existing approaches to solve problems. You will be an effective leader and be highly customer focused.
