Looking to work with Maritime Autonomous Systems? 

You will be involved with research into the application of swarm robotics to heterogenous squads; mission planning and execution of multi-domain maritime autonomous systems; and developing viable solutions that will be tested in both synthetic and field trials. You will be working with the range of maritime autonomous systems including surface platforms, sub-surface platforms and interacting with colleagues working with aerial platforms. You will be working under the supervision of Dr Jon Downes, Dr Danesh Tarapore, and closely with the industry sponsor to undertake the research. 

To be successful you will have a PhD* or equivalent professional qualifications and experience in artificial intelligence, planning, robotics, control, autonomy or complex systems design.

*Applications will be considered from candidates who are within six months of completing their PhD qualification. The title of Research Fellow will be applied upon completion of PhD. Prior to the qualification being awarded the title of Senior Research Assistant will be given.
