The School of Geographical Sciences is seeking to appoint an 8-month fixed-term full-time pathway 2 Research Associate.
The candidate will work on carbon cycling within supraglacial habitats of the Greenland Ice Sheet using a numerical model of glacier algal blooms recently developed for this system as part of the Black and Bloom project. You should possess a strong understanding of the microbiology of the Greenland Ice Sheet supraglacial and analytical skills within the R statistical framework. You will also be expected to write up results for publication in leading international peer-review journals.
