Two exciting opportunities are available to join our international student recruitment team within the Faculty of Social Sciences (www.southampton.ac.uk/about/departments/faculties/social-sciences.page) at the University of Southampton. Your role will be to develop, support and engage with international students, their stakeholders and influencers - realising Southampton’s ambition to attract excellent students from around the globe to our world-class university.
Your role will be to focus on how best to enable talented international students to join us at Southampton and progress our ambition to continuously improve their experience. As part of a highly-motivated team, together you will concentrate on the recruitment of students through the development and nurture of international partnerships; international recruitment activities; and excellent motivational communications. You will work, support and collaborate with university colleagues to ensure a networked, collegial and team-based approach to achieving our objectives.
You will support and develop the recruitment of students from their first thoughts of joining Southampton, through their journey to us, their learning experience with us, and their on-going engagement as part of our worldwide alumni community. With specific reference to the Faculty of Social Sciences, you will form strong working networks and relationships with academic and professional service colleagues across the Faculty and University. Your work will make an important contribution to realising our university international strategy (www.southampton.ac.uk/about/strategy/international-strategy.page).
Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have experience in higher education, international partnerships development and student recruitment. You will be able to employ market research and analysis experience to create and deliver excellent initiatives; and you will be able to contribute to developing our strategic approach to succeed in a complex environment.
These roles will be ideally suited to motivated, enthusiastic and internationally mobile individuals who enjoy working with colleagues in Southampton and building strong, enduring relationships with international partners on engagements during significant travel abroad. You will be able to develop professional, motivational rapport with our students, understanding their ambitions and appreciating the challenges they face, providing insight and solutions to our goal of building on the world-class study and research at Southampton.
