Residences manage a diverse portfolio of properties and offer accommodation to c.6,500 students per year. The role of Business Support and Improvement Lead works in partnership with the Associate Director by contributing to and delivering strategic projects that directly improve student experience. 

Residences are recruiting a Business Support and Improvement Lead who will have autonomy to deliver several customer service, student feedback and system projects to ensure a positive social and academic student experience.  In this role you will oversee project management for Residences and the effectiveness of systems in Residences.  You will join us at an exciting time with projects taking place across Residences to improve operational services.

The main responsibilities of the role include:

  • identify and lead on the formulation and delivery of Residences customer service, systems, and student survey strategy
  • lead on liaison, analysis, reporting, and implementation of recommendations from residential surveys (run in partnership with various stakeholders)
  • lead on Residences systems delivery by overseeing business as usual systems and delivering improvements that meet strategic plans (this includes expanding the use of existing systems) 
  • lead several improvement projects with the Residences team. Examples include the roll out of new processes and systems for customers and staff and laundry strategies   
  • champion continuous improvement across Residences  

The successful candidate will enjoy working with multiple teams to deliver successful outcomes. You will be confident with Microsoft Project (or equivalent), building MS SharePoint sites and using Power Automate.  You will thrive at formatting data and have proven experience of collating information from multiple sources into management reports e.g survey data. 

Successful candidates will be required to work on some weekends through the course of the year to cover peak arrivals and departure periods, support with open day events, and to lead on project implementation to 24/7 teams.
