Biomedical Research Facility (BRF)
Applications are invited for the post of cage processor and cleaner in the Biomedical Research Facility at Southampton General Hospital.
The facility provides a service and support for scientists carrying out medical research into areas such as cancer, osteoporosis, neurology, ophthalmology, asthma and nutrition.
You will work alongside a busy technical team and be responsible for the cleaning, sterilising and processing of laboratory animal cages and laboratory equipment, as well as general assistance with the upkeep of the facility. You will be able to work under pressure in a demanding environment, have good organisational and time management skills, be health and safety focused and able to lift and carry laboratory equipment.
