The Associate Professor/Professor of Information Technology is an academic leadership role within the Faculty of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences (ECMS) at the University of Adelaide. ECMS educates the STEM professionals of the future and delivers excellent stakeholder-connected research.
This exciting opportunity is within the School of Computer Science, one of eight schools within ECMS. You will be responsible for leading the School’s implementation and evaluation of the Bachelor of Information Technology program, building its capacity to delivery outstanding industry-focused information technology education.
You will also contribute to excellence in teaching, ensuring high quality student graduates, enable research outputs that have national and international impact and lead discipline-based and collaborative engagement. Your extensive experience in a senior academic leadership role will enable you to work closely with industry to ensure offerings are aligned with current industry practice, strategic directions, and professional development requirements.
This position comes at a crucial and very exciting time for the Faculty and University with new strategic priorities identified in the strategic pillar of 21st Century Education for a Growing Community of Learners, in the University’s strategic plan “Future Making.”
