Our mission is clear: to become one of the UK's leading universities for in-depth industry engagement. Our academic schools are united by our mantra "designed, developed and delivered by industry" and we ensure our students graduate industry ready, as their career starts from day one.

Our students are taught by experts that have all worked in their respective industries and they benefit from industry feedback from leaders within industry too. They get to deliver on live industry briefs and attend industry workshops led by some of the world's most reputable organisations. We work with industry giants from Unilever, L’Oreal, WPP and IBM, to Framestore, Double Negative, MPC and The Mill, and that's what sets us apart.

Pearson College London awarded for its ‘Outstanding Industry Partnerships’ in the 2019 Independent HE Awards

We’re proud to announce that Pearson College London received the Independent HE Outstanding Industry Partnerships 2019 award, sponsored by Pinsent Masons, in recognition of our industry partnerships and initiatives. 

This award is given in recognition of independent higher education providers working with industry, facilitating industry standards and providing life-long learning opportunities for students. Independent HE recognised the different ways in which we work with our industry partners including course design, our degree concept teams (DCTs), industry workshops, internships, degree apprenticeships, our annual creative showcase ‘The VFX Festival’ and our business incubator, to name just a few initiatives. 

Over the years we have formed partnerships with some of the biggest companies in the world including: Unilever, L’Oreal, Mondelez, Sony Pictures, WPP, Lloyds of London, IBM, and leading creative studios including Framestore, MPC, Cinesite, Double Negative, Dreamworks Animation and Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. Our academic staff have also worked in industry, for companies like Citigroup, JP Morgan, PwC, Deloitte, and creative organisations including Sony Playstation, Disney, Cinesite, Framestore, Double Negative and some of the most successful games studios in the UK: EA, Jagex, Rebellion and Climax.  As a result, our students get to learn first-hand about working in business and the creative industries. We run industry-focused events where students have pitched to senior managers and CEOs of global organisations and our creative students have participated in an end of term showcase, to present their work to leaders in the creative industries too.

We also make sure our full-time Pearson Business School students are guaranteed at least one internship, so they gain additional experience whilst studying. The landscape of higher education, the growing variety of higher education institutions, the cultural environment and the competitive ecosystem are all changing rapidly and disruptively.  We believe that the future of education lies in greater collaboration between education and industry. By working closely with our industry partners we’re able to ensure our students have the skills and knowledge to start their careers from day one.
